Ionization Balance in Low-Temperature Plasmas with Nanosized Dust

چکیده
Ionization mechanisms in the low-temperature thermal plasma, which contains alkali metal atoms as ionizable component and nanosized dust grains, are studied. In such a electrons captured by because work function of grains depends on their sizes, electron adsorption rate is more than thermionic emission for grains. Accordingly, an increase grain number leads to decrease volume ionization recombination rates, they depend density electrons. At same time, role surface processes plasma balance increased, total increased. The approximate calculation techniques low high densities proposed. criterions calculations specified.

متن کاملCollision Processes in Low-Temperature Hydrogen Plasmas
Collision processes among the constituents of low-temperature hydrogen plasmas (e,H,H,H,H2,H + 2 ,H + 3 ) play a key role in technical plasma applications as well as in the boundary regions of magnetically confined fusion plasmas. In this work a review of the current knowledge on their cross sections is presented. Collision processes of electronically and vibrationally excited species are also ...
متن کاملNanosized precipitates in H13 tool steel low temperature plasma nitriding
A comprehensive study of pulsed nitriding in AISI H13 tool steel at low temperature (400°C) is reported for several durations. X-ray diffraction results reveal that a nitrogen enriched compound (-Fe2-3N, iron nitride) builds up on the surface within the first process hour despite the low process temperature. Beneath the surface, X-ray Wavelength Dispersive Spectroscopy (WDS) in a Scanning Elec...

متن کاملModulational instability of dust ion acoustic waves in astrophysical dusty plasmas with non thermal electrons
Propagation of dust ion acoustic waves in plasmas composed of nonthermal distributed electrons and stationary dust particles is investigated. Nonlinear Schrdinger equation is derived to describe small amplitude waves, using the reduction perturbation technique. Modulation instability of dust ion acoustic waves is analysed for this system. Parametric investigation indicates that growth rate of...
